Suva

Fiji’s capital stands beside a harbour on Viti Levu’s wetter southeastern coast.

Nadi

Nadi is a western transport and tourism centre. The main international airport is north of the town centre.

Lautoka

Lautoka is a port city associated with the sugar industry on Viti Levu’s western coast.

Ba

Ba stands inland from the coast in a sugar-growing area along the Ba River.

Tavua

Tavua serves communities on the northern side of Viti Levu, near the gold-mining area of Vatukoula.

Rakiraki

Rakiraki serves northern Viti Levu near the waters separating the two largest islands.

Sigatoka

Sigatoka stands near its river mouth and the sand dunes of Fiji’s first national park.

Navua

Navua is a river town on the southern coast, connected with farming communities and the Navua valley.

Nausori

Nausori stands by the Rewa River and serves the eastern side of the Suva urban area.

Korovou

Korovou is a town in Tailevu, on the route linking eastern and northern Viti Levu.

Labasa

Labasa is a northern commercial centre associated with sugar farming and milling.

Savusavu

Savusavu faces a sheltered bay and is known for its harbour and geothermal springs.

Nabouwalu

Nabouwalu is a ferry port connecting Vanua Levu with Viti Levu.

Levuka

Levuka was Fiji’s first colonial capital. Its historical port town is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Waiyevo

Waiyevo is a settlement and administrative centre on Taveuni, close to the 180° meridian.

Ahau

Ahau is the government station on Rotuma. Rotuman identity and language are distinct within Fiji.
