Islands, municipalities and learning locations

The maps cover the ten islands, which are divided into 22 municipalities, called concelhos. The uninhabited island of Santa Luzia and the islets of Branco and Raso are drawn as part of the Sรฃo Vicente municipality, and the tiniest islets are left out where they were too small to show. Boundaries are generalized. City pins mark approximate centers, and ribeiras show available named mapped reaches, which can have gaps. Portuguese is the official language, and Cape Verdean Creole, called Kriolu, is the everyday language. The linked lesson teaches general Portuguese. Learning pins and photographs do not establish safe access.
