Simple and essential. Just add the item name after "tem". The verb comes from "ter" (to have) and works in any shop.
Follow with the section you need. Staff will point or walk you there. In larger supermarkets, look for the aisle signs overhead.
Bags cost a small fee at Portuguese supermarkets. The cashier will ask this. Answer "sim" or "não" or hold up fingers for how many.
In Portugal breakfast is pequeno-almoço, literally "little lunch".
