Getting around in Russian

Direct and always understood. In Russia туалет is the standard word. WC signs are also common. Public toilets in metro stations are often pay-to-use.
Literally "how to walk to ...?".
Direction words: налево (left), направо (right), прямо (straight ahead). These are the adverb forms used after "go" or "turn." Learn all three together.
Здесь means "here" in the sense of a location. Вот (here it is) is used when pointing something out. Both are useful for giving and receiving directions.
The main intercity train station. Moscow has several major ones (Казанский, Ярославский etc.), each serving different directions. Ask Где вокзал? to find it.
Works at metro kiosks, train stations, and bus terminals. Specify the destination if needed. Metro tickets are usually sold by number of trips rather than by destination.
