The formal "do you have", followed by what you need. For example, aveți lapte? Do you have milk? With friends use ai (AY) instead. Aveți is your all-purpose shop question.
Unde (where) plus este (is). In fast speech este shortens to e (yeh). Point and ask: unde este pâinea (where is the bread) gets you far in any supermarket.
Cashiers will ask this. Bags cost a small amount by law. If you do not want one, nu, mulțumesc (noo mool-tsoo-MESK) is all you need.
