Literally "kindly give assistance". ꯃꯇꯦꯡ (ma-TENG) is help and it works for an emergency or for a suitcase that will not fit, with tone carrying the difference.
ꯀꯧꯕ (KOU-ba) is to call or summon. The all-India emergency number is 112. In the hill districts, distance to a hospital is the real constraint rather than the phrase you use.
The borrowed English word, used by everyone. Manipur has visible security everywhere and checkpoints on many roads, so carry photo identification when you travel between districts.
ꯍꯤꯗꯥꯛ (hi-DAK) is medicine. Pharmacists are used to identifying medicines from a photo of the packet, which is far more reliable than trying to translate the name.
Literally "treatment house": ꯂꯥꯏꯌꯦꯡ (LAI-yeng) is medical treatment and ꯁꯪ (SHANG) a house or shelter. RIMS and JNIMS are the two big hospitals in Imphal, and any auto driver will know them by those letters.
Literally "I have lost the road". ꯂꯝꯕꯤ (LAM-bi), road, is the same word that made "excuse me" in lesson one. Show a map or the name of your hotel and someone will often walk you part of the way.
Literally "I am not well", the negative of ꯑꯩ ꯐꯅ ꯂꯩꯔꯤ (EI PHA-na LEI-ri).
Put it after the thing that is gone: ꯑꯩꯒꯤ ꯐꯣꯟ ꯍꯨꯔꯥꯅꯈ꯭ꯔꯦ (EI-gi PHON hu-ra-na-KRE), my phone was stolen. Enough to open any conversation at a police station or hotel desk.
The English word with Meiteilon grammar. The emergency number in India is 112.
Literally "leave me".
