Literally "toward the left".
Literally "go straight." Useful when you get conflicting directions. Nod and walk confidently, then ask again after a few hundred meters.
Kerala is connected by the Thiruvananthapuram central line. The word is borrowed from English and everyone understands it. Trains are popular for long-distance travel.
Say this at bus counters or ferry jetties. Kerala has beautiful backwater ferries connecting villages, especially in Alappuzha (Alleppey). "ഒരു ടിക്കറ്റ്" works everywhere.
