Meeting people in Pashto
How are you, what is your name, where are you from, I like it: the first five minutes. Play the ten Pashto words against the clock, with a note on how locals really use each one after every answer. All ten are written out below.

Formal version using "تاسو" (plural/formal you). An actual answer is expected, not the American "fine thanks" brush-off. Expect to reciprocate.
Literally "I am well, thanks".
Always volley it back. Pashto conversation expects reciprocal interest.
