Counting to ten in Azerbaijani

The building block of ordering. "Bir çay" (one tea) and "bir su" (one water) will get you far.
Use with fingers as backup. "İki bilet" means two tickets, useful at transport hubs.
The "ü" is like the French "u" or German "ü." Round your lips to get it right.
The "ş" sounds like English "sh." Five is a useful number at markets and for splitting dishes.
Prices are in manat. Eleven is "on bir", ten plus one, and the pattern holds all the way up.
