Crisp and easy to remember. Useful for urgency: "հիմա, խնդրեմ" means "now, please." Also used colloquially to mean "well then" or "so" at the start of a sentence in casual Armenian speech.
Relaxed and flexible. Armenian social life often runs on approximate timing and "հետո" covers everything from "in ten minutes" to "sometime this afternoon." Useful for making loose plans.
One of the most practical time words. Essential for asking about today's specials, today's schedule, or whether something is open today. The stress falls clearly on the second syllable.
The final schwa sound (-uh) is the definite article suffix in Armenian. So վաղը literally means "the tomorrow." This pattern appears throughout the language and once spotted becomes recognizable.
Literally "one minute, please".
Stays singular after a number: "հինգ րոպե" (hing ro-PE).
Stays singular after a number: "երկու ժամ" (yer-KOO zham).
