Just fill in the object. "Mee somtam mai?" (Do you have papaya salad?). Short and natural.
Followed by the item. Supermarket staff point you in the right direction. Large Thai supermarkets are well-organized and small enough to walk all aisles quickly.
Literally "take a bag?", what the 7-Eleven cashier asks.
Literally "too expensive". Bargain with a smile at markets, never in malls.
Literally "I already booked".
Literally "... is it possible?": นั่งได้ไหม (nang dai MAI), can I sit?
