Ferry terminals and petrol stations have public toilets.
Simple and useful for confirming a direction. Faroese drivers are generally courteous and happy to help a confused visitor find their way.
There is no railway on the islands; buses, ferries and tunnels connect everything.
The blue Bygdaleiðir buses link the villages.
The only airport is on Vágar, linked to Tórshavn by a tunnel.
Tickets for buses and ferries can often be bought on board or via the Faroese transport app. Card payment is accepted on most routes.
