Seoul city guide: sources, transformations and photo credits Reviewed October 11, 2026. The text, questions, explanations and selection of fifteen sights were written for Worldly. Official tourism, heritage and transport references are linked below. Recommendations to group nearby places and allow time are editorial choices. Admission prices, opening hours and closing days are deliberately left to the linked operators so a saved guide does not promise outdated access. License: Open Data Commons Open Database License (ODbL) 1.0 https://www.openstreetmap.org/copyright https://opendatacommons.org/licenses/odbl/1-0/ Worldly assembled each relation's ways into polygons, simplified the shared coverage with Shapely 2.1.2 using a 0.00005-degree tolerance, rounded coordinates to six decimal places, and selected interior label anchors. District IDs 01-25 follow the ref tags in OpenStreetMap, Seoul's own district order. Transformations, district descriptions and sight selection are Worldly's work. The map is for geographic learning, not navigation or legal boundaries, and the wider capital area in Gyeonggi and Incheon is outside it. Rebuild: python3 scripts/build-seoul-districts.py The guide's sight coordinates are longitude/latitude in WGS84, taken from Wikipedia, Wikidata and OpenStreetMap. All pins are checked against their declared district. Yeouido Hangang Park is pinned on its lawns near Yeouinaru, and Gwangjang Market at its main hall; each is a specific starting point rather than a claim that an entire area fits one pin. Photographs Thirteen distinct Wikimedia Commons photographs illustrate the guide. Each image links to its original file page and identifies the author and license. Exact source URLs and credits are preserved in src/lib/cities/seoul-photos.json. Thumbnail URLs were obtained from Wikimedia's imageinfo API at 1280px width; the subway photo is narrower than that and is used at its original size. Wikipedia articles are also pinned explicitly to each map answer and learning question for the existing Worldly further-reading feature. Their article titles are identifiers; authored questions and explanations use original wording.
